Primary beneficiary:
Tresco TOTS - Toys were distributed to the approximately 600 children in the TOTS program and their siblings. Toys were chosen to facilitate the developmental needs of the children in the non-profit TOTS program who have developmental delays.
The public is invited to participate in this year’s festivities. To be in the parade, participants pay a $10 registration fee and donate a new toy valued at $5 or more. Toys for children under 3 and educational toys are encouraged. Activities at Dickerson’s include a silent auction, dancing to live music by Geronimo Black, a bike show, raffle, and opportunities for door prizes. There will also be food and vendors. Registration at the mall is from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Leaving the mall at noon sharp. Also to be in parade, the motorcycle must be street legal, registered and insured
Participants get a barbeque dinner, beverages, and entertainment, which is covered by the registration fee.
Last year more than 1,700 people attended the event and over $13,000 was donated to local community programs, including Coats for Kids, La Clinica de Familia Healthy Start, Ben Archer Health Center in Hatch, Mesilla Valley Casa, TeamWorks, Salvation Army, Las Cruces Police Department Weed and Seed Program, Prison Family Services, FYI Transitional Living and Adolescent Shelter programs, Mesquite Community Center, San Andres GRADS program, Marine Corps Toys for Tots, and Valley View Multiple Disabilities Parent Committee.
The parade departs at noon sharp from Mesilla Valley Mall, heading South on Don Roser, West on Missouri,North on Valley, West on Picacho to Dickerson's
